The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Physicians who wish to receive an official record of CME credit claimed issued by the UIC College of Medicine are required to complete and return an evaluation survey for each presentation for which credit is claimed. Non-physician attendees will receive a certificate of participation and have the option, but are not required, to complete surveys.
Activity Purpose
The purpose of the Midwinter Symposium on Practical Challenges in Otolaryngology is to increase competency in all the subspecialties of otolaryngology
Objectives
Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply knowledge of current issues globally affecting the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of otolaryngologic and related disorders.
- Analyze national and international research-based information and updates on practical applications affecting operative procedures, drugs, and medical devices
- Utilize improved practice management techniques to facilitate physician performance improvement
- Translate into practice a broader understanding of the global approaches used in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery
Intended Audience
The primary audience for this program is otolaryngologists. Physicians in other specialties and other health professionals are also welcome to participate.
