Located in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, Snowmass is the largest of the Aspen/Snowmass four-mountain complex and one of the finest ski resorts in North America. Designed as a ski-in, ski-out resort, most accommodations within Snowmass Village are slopeside with nearly everything within easy walking distance.
Snowmass, Aspen, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk combined offer over 5,500 acres of world class terrain, all accessible with a single lift ticket. Providing access to over 3,300 acres of terrain, Snowmass is served by twenty lifts and 94 trails totaling 150 miles. Snowmass offers a variety of slopes to challenge every level of skier and snowboarder—cruisers, steeps, glades, off-piste, terrain parks, superpipe, and the longest lift-served vertical rise in the United States. Long, groomed intermediate runs offer unparalleled cruising, while experts can experience back-country terrain. Additional on-mountain activities include lift-served snow tubing and alpine coaster. Free shuttle buses run throughout Snowmass Village. Free skier shuttles serve the four mountains of Aspen/Snowmass throughout the day. Continuing free service through the evening makes it easy to enjoy all that Aspen has to offer.
Snowmass Village is approximately 220 miles west of Denver, six miles from the Aspen airport (ASE), nine miles from Aspen, and 68 miles from the Eagle County airport (EGE). Because the Aspen airport is more prone than others to weather-related closures, the Eagle/Vail airport is preferred by some travelers. Door-to-door ground transportation between Eagle/Vail and Snowmass Village lodges—approximately a 1½-hour drive—may be arranged through your travel agent or directly through services such as Epic Mountain Express.
