Meeting Registration

The registration deadline (for best rates) is February 11, 2019. A separate registration must be completed for each registrant.

Registration Fee — $850 ($950 after February 11) — include full breakfast each day and afternoon refreshments. A reduced fee of $550 ($600 after February 11) is available to physicians-in-training (with letter verifying status), non-physicians, and registrant spouses who are not otolaryngologists. Physicians-in-training: Verification of status, on employer or program letterhead, should be sent to the UIC Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery by email attachment, fax, or mail. (See "Contact Us" below for address and fax number.)

Discounted Lift Tickets

A 5% transaction fee (our cost) will be charged for any portion of a lift ticket payment that needs to be refunded by credit card. You can avoid these charges by avoiding the need for a credit card refund. See below for instructions on how to order in advance but pay onsite, and answers to other frequently asked questions.

Exceptional group rates are available through the symposium for registrants and accompanying family and friends. Adult 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-day tickets include a free day of skiing. Child, teen, and senior tickets are all the same price. Children 6 and under ski free, only the $5 charge for radio frequency card applies (note that these tickets are not sold through the meeting and can be obtained at any lift ticket window). Over 69? — contact us for information on additional ticket options, as needed.

Two ways to defer lift ticket payment until you arrive onsite and pick up your order: Either of the following options will allow you to reserve lift tickets and create a balance due for onsite payment. The associated balance due will be cleared after you arrive onsite, confirm your final order, and make payment.

  1. Register and place a lift order at the same time but pay only the amount due for your meeting registration. The system is set up to allow you to enter the amount you wish to pay at check-out. Enter just your registration fee amount and that is all you will be charged in the transaction.
  2. On your first visit to the registration site, just register for the meeting and pay your registration fee (do not place a lift ticket order). Return to the registration site later to place an order. Select “check” as the payment method to avoid being asked for credit card information. (Do not send payment, unless you prefer to pay for lift tickets in advance, by check.)

Additional discounts with lift tickets purchased through the symposium — Aspen Skiing Company Mountain Advantage Program: Our adult group lift tickets entitle you to savings on ski and snowboard lessons, as well as purchases or rentals at Aspen Skiing Company retail outlets, including ski and snowboard shops and participating on-mountain restaurants. These offers will come loaded onto your ticket and are only available onsite. You will need to show your lift ticket to qualify for these savings.

Tickets are valid at all four Aspen Skiing Company ski areas:
Snowmass, Aspen, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk.
Once activated, multiple-day tickets are valid for up to 10 days.

(See also FAQ information provided below.)

  • Why does a 4-day ticket provide the lowest cost per ski day for adult tickets?
All adult tickets sold through the meeting are an exceptional value, especially 4-day and higher denominations because they include a free day. The reason the daily cost of the 4-day tickets comes out the lowest among those that include a free day is because the free day is spread out over fewer days — 4 days vs. 5, 6, or 7 days for higher denominations.
  • Why doesn’t the meeting sell 3-day adult tickets?
Our cost for 3- and 4-day tickets would be the same because our 4-day ticket includes a free day. If you can only use three days, you have an extra day to share with someone else or return to the Skiing Company for RSVP credit. (More on RSVP credit below.)
  • How many days do I have to use a multiple-day ticket before it expires?
All multiple-day tickets are valid for 10 days including first day of use.
  • When do I need to confirm my final lift ticket order and how do I adjust an order after it has been placed?
Please plan to reserve your lift tickets in advance, by February 11, as possible, to help us confirm the inventory we will need onsite. We also do our best to have sufficient extra inventory available to accommodate onsite additions and changes, but having a specific request in advance will assure that your exact order will be ready for you when you arrive. Your registration confirmation will include a confirmation/ID number which you can use to access your record and make additions or changes, under “Merchandise." Contact us if you have a problem locating this number, or need other personal assistance.
Reminder: It is recommended that you DO NOT pay for your tickets until you arrive onsite. This allows for changes without penalty (no need for refund) all the way up to the time of pickup.
  • Is any credit available if I don’t use all my ski days?
Partially-used lift tickets may be returned by the guest to any lift ticket window within 14 days of expiration for internal credit from the Aspen Skiing Company. The value of unused days is determined by the Aspen Skiing Company. This credit may be used, in the current season or the season immediately following, towards purchases of lift tickets, lessons or equipment rentals.

Your registration is not complete until your registration fee is paid — be sure to make this payment by February 11 (2019) for best rates. Per information and instructions provided above, it is recommended that you order lift tickets in advance but not pay for them until you arrive at the meeting — lift ticket rates are the same, regardless of when purchase is made.

Payments may be made by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) or check. Check payments must be received in advance (payable to "University of Illinois") and mailed with copy of confirmation to the UIC Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. (See "Contact Us" below for address.)

In the event you find it necessary to cancel your meeting registration, a minimum $75 processing fee will apply. Requests for cancellation received after February 11, but on or before February 18, 2019, will be subject to a deduction of $150. No registration fee refunds will be issued for requests received after February 18, or for non-attendance.

Up to the time of payment, including onsite, lift ticket orders can be adjusted or canceled without obligation. A 5% transaction fee (our cost) will be charged for any portion of a lift ticket payment that needs to be refunded by credit card. Unused tickets may be returned to symposium staff for full refund (less transaction fee, if paid for by credit card), through April 1, 2019.
